Mens Singles Quarter and Semi Finals updateThe worst of the weather and the incessant wind held off for the Mens Quarter and Semi Finals on Sunday November 13. Some absolutely spectacular bowls were played by all competitors and there were some upsets that kept players and spectators on their toes! Quater finals Brendan Umbers def Leigh Hanlon 25-12 Eugene Marshall def Michael Warner 25-23 Shane Grellet def by Nicholas Gallagher 20-25 Michael Kelly def Darcy Burge 25-17 The upsets here were Eugene and Gaggsy getting up to take it to the semi finals. Semi finals Brendan Umbers def Eugene Marshall 25-14 Nicholas Gallagher def Michael Kelly 25-23 Grand final will be played on Sunday December 11 at 10am between Premier League Skip Brendan Umbers and the underdog Nick Gallagher. Good luck to you both in your quest to become club champion for the 2016-2017 season. We encourage all interested people to come on down to witness the grand final where the victor will go on to represent the Lara Bowling Club in the GBR Champion of Champions tournament.
