Mens Singles Grand Final Winner 2016
Mens Singles Grand FinalOn Sunday December 11 the club hosted both the Mens and Ladies club singles grand finals. In the Mens event it was Brendan Umbers vs Nick Gallagher. In front of a good crowd the two competitors fought it out and it was Brendan Umbers who brought home the title with a 25-17 final score. Well done Brendan on winning your first club mens singles title! Commiserations to Nick (Gaggsy) Gallagher, he put up a great effort during the competition and in the grand final to almost snatch a win. A lot of people play bowls for years without even making it to a grand final; well done mate. Congratulations to both competitors for making the final and to all who competed in the series this year. Good luck to Brendan who will be representing the Lara Bowling Club in the GBR Champion of Champions title next January. Go Lara! | |||
